Let’s give recruitment of educators a launch. The opportunity to recruit educators locally is within our means and is essential for our future. Our local community’s future depends on a new generation of educators. Let’s encourage them!

Half a century of combined education experience is available right here in Spokane. Making education one of the most precious and valuable resources within our region.

Educators are in favor of career and technical courses for our future education support professionals. Just as educators are in favor of student teaching opportunities within our schools. Education is a life sharing career.

I promise to make this a priority.

Retention

Let’s give retention of educators a certificate. The opportunity to retain educators locally is within our means and is essential for our future. Our local community’s success depends on our current educators and our life sharing careers. Let’s appreciate them!

Retention goes beyond reasonable compensation and benefits. Concerning our bargaining rights, Washington State ranks high among the Nation, and Spokane ranks high among the State. Safe and healthy work environments, work conditions, and procedures also promote retention of educators.

Retention is crucial for education as it is more fiscally responsible, effective and essential for the successful outcomes of both students and staff.  

I promise to make this a priority.

Retirement

Let’s give retirement of educators a field day. The opportunity for educators to retire in time is within our means and is essential for our future. Our local community’s wellbeing depends on our retiring educators. Let’s celebrate them!

Although Washington State has provided a step above the rest, there remains some obstacles and challenges from planning to transitioning into retirement.

Contributions should be secure, incentives should be beneficial, and service should be recognized. Together we can improve conditions beyond our life sharing careers and our communities overall experience.

Resolutions

Let’s give resolutions for educators an evaluation and growth plan. The opportunity to seek resolutions for educators is within our means and is essential for our future. Our local community’s growth depends on resolutions for educators. Let’s critique them!

Seeking resolutions for conflicts, grievances, complaints, and discipline are all within the scope of our collective agreement. Through sincere communication, collaboration, and representation we can achieve reasonable resolutions to advance all educators success.
